We have two kinds of classes at Star English. We offer private one-on-one classes and group classes for friends or groups from companies who have similar English language needs. For all our classes, trial lessons and consultations are free. Our teacher Daphne has experience teaching all levels and skills in English and can adjust her teaching methods to best suit the needs of each individual and class. In her classes you can relax, have a good time, and gain confidence in your English ability!

Hello, my name is Daphne Locke-Uehara. I am an English teacher from Canada with 7 years of experience. My husband, Kazuyoshi Uehara, and I run a small English school near Niigata University Hospital called Star★English. We offer English classes to doctors, dentists, medical professionals, and students who are interested in maintaining or improving their English level. I edit medical and dental papers for international conferences or publication in English journals, and I also assist doctors and researchers in preparing for presentations by providing pronunciation coaching. Group classes, private classes, and editing services are available in our office or at another specified location.
