Star English Children’s Classes Open!

Star English is pleased to announce that after many requests, we are opening a Children’s English Language Program in Furumachi. We would like to introduce to you our new teacher Mallu from Los Angeles, California. She is a fun, friendly and experienced teacher with a Master’s degree (shuushi) from California State University, Los Angeles. We think you will like her as much as we do! Mallu will be available to teach Children’s Group Classes, Baby and Mama Classes, and Adult Group Classes at our school and we can also make special arrangements for her to teach group classes in your area as well.

Preschool English Classes

Through songs, games, stories and repetition children can develop a strong base in English vocabulary, phrases, and most importantly in the pronunciation of English sounds that will give them a good start for a lifetime of using natural English. At ages three to four children will also begin basic phonics (the sounds for reading letters). Themes at this level include the alphabet, colors, numbers, animals, the weather, and many more.

Baby and Mama Classes

Mama and Baby classes give mothers the opportunity to join an English-language baby group where children can feel that English is normal because their mothers and friends speak English, too. These classes are designed to help mothers reinforce classroom learning at home and give their children and themselves an advantage in today's language-learning environment.

Children’s English Classes

Ages 5 and 6 classes will add a textbook to their lessons, adding a formal element and students will begin to write more than just their names. At this point, students will learn to read and write about their favorite themes and further develop their vocabulary and phrase base.
